Email from Sarah O'Connor

"Hello, I came across your site online when researching Affpuddle. My grandmother was evacuated from Southampton to Affpuddle in the second world war, I have a photo of her stood outside the thatched cottage that she stayed in. I am trying to find out some more info about Affpuddle around that time, when did the bomb his Affpuddle? The family my Nan stayed with was called Brett, I am also interested to trace them to find out what sort of people they may have been since my Nan speaks kindly of them. Is there any information that you might have or maybe some pointers on where I can look for further information? Many thanks, Sarah."

From the editor - Sarah, the email address you gave does not work and you did not give a telephone no or address.  I will ask around but cannot reply to you without the latter!
