Circa. 19th Century Briantspuddle
George, Cake or Riggs
family history

Pauline Neumann from Western Australia is researching her family history and writes:

"My grandmother was Beatrice Mabel JEANS nee GEORGE born in Briantspuddle/Affpuddle on 29/11/1894.

My great grandfather was Henry Joseph GEORGE born 1867 in Tonerspuddle. He married into the PULMAN family.  Rumour had it that he married Lucy and when she died he married one of her sisters, which one I haven't been able to work out.

My great grandfather was Reuben GEORGE born in Tonerspuddle about 1836. He married Martha CAKE on 21/12/1861.

My great great grandfather was James GEORGE born in Affpuddle in 1799.  He married Elizabeth ROPER.

My great great great grandfather was Thomas GEORGE baptised on 22/11/1769.  He married Elizabeth (Betty) LITTLE on 28/5/1792.

My great great great grandfather was John GEORGE baptised 6/10/1743 in Affpuddle.  He married Mary ??

My great great great great grandfather was William GEORGE born about 1710.  He married a Mary ?? in 1740.

.................and that is as far back as I go.

So you can see that I am interested in the GEORGEs, CAKEs and RIGGSs who lived around your area.  The SNOOKS appear too but only as an offshoot to the main family tree.  I have two George's marrying two Cakes.   A Cake marrying a Riggs.  And a Riggs marrying a George".

If anyone can help Pauline her address and email details can be supplied by using the "contact us" form and selecting the "administration" option.
