Housing - the aim is to use the Parish Design Statement (part of the Parish Plan 2004) as a guide to future development and to support provision of affordable housing
An Affordable Housing Needs Survey was undertaken by Dorset Community Action with an indication of very low level of need and insufficient to warrant new build in the parish. Need to add outstanding requirement to Bere Regis Plan.
Community Facilities - the aim is to support provision of a sports field/play park and promote setting up of a youth group if warranted
Need to undertake a proper feasibility study of field/park site and source of funding - a willing volunteer is required.
Need to investigate public support for a bus shelter in due course.
Crime Prevention - the aim is to press for proper level of policing in the area
Attend North Purbeck District bi-monthly Tasking Group as necessary - not found necessary yet.
Traffic - the aim is to press for downgrading of the B3390 and for attention to traffic problems on minor roads and lanes
November 05 - letter sent to CEO of Purbeck District Council, copy to CEO of Dorset County Council. seeking direct support on downgrading the B3390 and implementing appropriate measures to reduce speed and weight of traffic.
April 06 - DCC set up B3390 Warmwell Liaison group meetings to deal with B3390 traffic issues.
July O6 - DCC project to provide 30 mph signs for Affpuddle and Briantspuddle completed. Discussion continues with regard to re-siting some of them.
Bridleways and Footpaths - the aim is maintain the existing bridleways and footpaths and to discourage unauthorised use.
Winter 05 - David Buck undertook a project to audit the state of bridleways and footpaths.
Need to undertake the project on feasibility of a riverside walk and off road parking in due course.
Waste Re-cycling - the aim is to support District Council re-cycling measures and to encourage reduction of waste
Summer 05 - Article by Cllr Jenny Lightfoot placed in Parish Magazine.
Autumn 05 - Implementation of new District Council waste collection scheme using wheely bins and green boxes.
Need to agree site for local facility for collecting plastic waste, excluding use of the village hall yard, in due course - letter sent October 06 expressing concern that only plastic bottles can be recycled in the bottle bank.
Tourism - the aim is to encourage tourists and to provide facilities comensurate with impact
Need to discuss with Forestry Commission and District Council provision of information boards and car park litter signs in due course.
Nature Conservation and Wildlife - the aim is to support habitat conservation and wildlife protection
Need to update the Parish Bio-diversity Audit, and make greater use of the Parish website to promote the issue.
Access to Information - the aim is to make best use of existing notice boards and the parish magazine and to develop a parish website.
October 05 - Parish website on line.
March 06 - All three of the parish notice boards refurbished.
Noise and Light Pollution - the aim is to press for A35 noise reduction and to resist increase in other noise
Bid for road noise reduction measures lodged with County Highways Dept some while ago - need to obtain an update.
October 06 - letter sent to Connect asking for concrete to be resurfaced with tarmac.
Need to approach Army to move demolitions pit and to support any development of a tank simulator in due course.
Transport - the aim is to press for reduced cost for rural users and to support any locally run scheme
Need to seek harmonisation of local bus fares and press for more public display of bus timetables. Possible issue for Purbeck Community Task Group.
Flooding and Drainage - the aim is to co-operate with the Environment Agency for long term solutions.
October 06 - Cllr Paul Badcock appointed as flood warden.
