The Hall is available for private hire and bookings are very welcome.

Over the years, private hirings have included family celebrations, retirement and other parties, exhibitions, meetings and private dance lessons and much more.

The Hall is licensed for the performance of plays, live music and film.  If you want to sell alcohol then you can apply for a temporary events notice from Purbeck District Council.  This is a simple process and inexpensive circa £20.  If you want to serve alcohol and not charge for it then no events notice is necessary.

The Hall accomodates up to 60 people at tables, seating in rows of up to 100 people, and up to 120 at a dance.  The Hall has kitchen facilities, and it also offers the use of a screen, and if wanted a projector that connects with a laptop.  The Hall has a public address and hearing loop system.  It even has a piano - though not to concert standard and a stage.  The floor is designed to be used also as a bowling alley.

Outside is a car park for 12 cars and temporarily more parking on the quiet road outside the Hall.

The cost of hire is £8 per hour for regular users, £10 per hour for Parishioners and £20 per hour for other users.  These prices are due to increase from 1st May 2010.  Hire fees include chairs, tables, PA system and projector.  If the kitchen is needed there is an extra charge of £10 per session, which includes use of crockery, glasses and cutlery for up to 60 people, and use of kitchen facilties including fridge/freezer, implements and serving equipment.

The Hall is available for hire Monday to Saturday to Midnight and Sunday to 11.30pm.
