The Hall is available for private hire and bookings are very welcome although whilst the re-development works are in progress hiring opportunities are limited to the Bladen Social Club for skittles, the Keep fit group, the Briantspuddle Singers and Parish and Village Hall committee meetings.

Over the years, private hirings have included family celebrations, retirement and other parties, exhibitions, meetings and private dance lessons and much more.  We hope that with the rebuilt kitchen and other facilities much more use will be made in the future.

The Hall is licensed for the performance of plays, live music and film.  If you want to sell alcohol then you can apply for a temporary events notice from Purbeck District Council.  This is a simple process and inexpensive at about £20.  If you want to serve alcohol and not charge for it then no events notice is necessary.

The Hall accomodates up to 60 people at tables, seating in rows of up to 100 people, and up to 120 at a dance.  The Hall has kitchen facilities, and it also offers the use of a screen, and if wanted a projector that connects with a laptop.  The Hall has a public address and hearing loop system.  It even has a piano - though not to concert standard and a stage.  The floor is designed to be used also as a bowling alley.

Outside is a car park for 12 cars and temporarily more parking on the quiet road outside the Hall.

The cost of hire is £8.80 per hour for regular users, £11 per hour for Parishioners and £20 per hour for other users.  These prices are due to increase when the Hall is fully open for business later this year.  Hire fees include chairs, tables, PA system and projector.  If the kitchen is needed there will an extra charge per session, which includes use of crockery, glasses and cutlery for up to 60 people, and use of kitchen facilties including fridge/freezer, implements and serving equipment.

On completion of the works the Hall will be available for hire Monday to Saturday to Midnight and Sunday to 11.30pm.
